About Bill Rowen

Bill Rowen is a Connecticut disc jockey specializing in weddings. Also an experienced and accomplished musician with extensive live performance and recording experience.

Pretty much everyone asks, "If we hire you, is it you who will be our DJ?". The answer is, "Yes".

"I've been involved in music for almost as long as I've walked. I started violin at five, voice at seven, guitar at twelve, piano at fifteen. I came to provide music for weddings in '85 when a couple heard me with my band performing and asked me to play at their wedding. Why would I say anything but 'Yes'? We had so much fun!"

"Over the next several years The Bill Rowen Group played hundreds of weddings . At weddings the band never really took much of a break, but when we did need to rest our voices, I took on the roll of DJ on the break. As time went on and disc jockeys over time became the entertainment-of-choice I, in turn, changed my business to exclusively offer myself as a Disc Jockey for wedding receptions."

"I have to say, when coordinating the music and events for a reception I tend to present a lot to couples. But that shouldn't be confused with 'recommending' a lot. By that I'm saying that it's your wedding and just because a given tradition is on the form I'm providing does not necessarily mean I say you should do those traditions. It's my way of finding out if you want them at your wedding. With that, I think it is important to present a lot to a couple planning their wedding without overwhelming them. It's a wedding, it's a celebration, it should be FUN!"
